Hello All,
Sorry it's been so long... it's been quite a busy couple of days. Things are going well here. We continue to get snow which I love to play in. (See above). Emily continues to weigh my babies frequently to make sure they're all gaining weight. Our littlest (Stella) is now up to 16 ounces from 13, and our large and in charge little boy (Louis) is up from 18 to 21 ounces. So, things are going well. They continue to keep me and Emily up til all hours of the night, which can be frustrating, but as long as we both count to ten once awakened, going back to bed isn't too hard. The family's flight from Paris got delayed pretty substantially, so, they should have been home by now but instead they're still in the air. Emily is currently watching Sunday football. She seems depressed, but that seems to be life of a Cowboys fan close to to the end of the season. Oh well, I don't care and maybe she shouldn't either. Well, back to the snuggling. Check out the cute pics.
Ready for the family to be home,

Details on arrival and weight
Well, my brood is pictured here for you all to enjoy. Emily took careful notes and so we have the weights and order in which they were born. Just so you know, we went, girl, girl, boy, girl, boy, boy, girl, girl, girl, boy... And that is how it goes. My littlest was 13 ounces and my biggest was 17.5! Most range between 14-15 ounces, so just about a pound. We started at 1:00 and ended at 5:00pm. Fairly nice timing for Emily and Steph, or so I thought. Emily had to work tonight and it broke her heart. But, she's back. I'm exhausted and so is Emily. Sleep well. Get in touch with Emily if you want to come see them!

Puppies
We have 10 NEW PUPPIES!!!! Can you believe it? The little squigglers are finally out of my belly and into the wading pool. 6 girls and 4 boys. Names are still in development. Everyone is healthy and happy and doing well, including me. I'm pretty worn out though. So is Emily in all honesty. I will post some pics shortly. They sure are cute. :)

December 24,
Happy Christmas Eve one and all. I am currently STILL waiting on these little wiggly-jiggly-critters to get out of my belly and into their wading pool. Immensely irritating. Steph and Emily both felt fairly safe in assuming last night was the night, but it wasn't to be. Sorry folks. Emily unfortunately has to work tonight, so I'm going to try and hold off til the dead of night. (Merry Christmas y'all, ha ha ha). Emily is currently looking bedraggled for which I feel bad, but she does love me so she puts up with it pretty well. She hardly sleeps though, so it's good to know she and I are on the same page. She wakes up about every 2 hours to check on me. I continue to nest in my wading pool much to the frustration of Emily, but she knows I'm supposed to do it so it works okay. The cat continues to inhabit the wading pool and chew on Emily's hair, toes, blanket, or anything else the Christmas tree lights. We talked to the vet this morning and he said looooong first labors are pretty normal, but I'm sure over it. COME ON CONTRACTIONS!
Paws out! Merry Christmas!

December 23,
Still waiting but things appear to be progressing. I have to pee about 100 times a day
and Emily just thinks it's funny. I swear it's all the blasted pressure on my bladder. At the present, I'm interested in nesting and ripping things up. Oh what fun it is... I tried to go live in the giant hole that I dug but Emily wouldn't have any of it. Steph came over and played. She is so fabulous. She's coming back later. (Yaaaaay!) Great Grandpa Daines offered me an epidural, but I declined. I'm gonna go natural, baby! Emily and Steph talked to the vet and they think the puppie will arrive within 24 hours. I hope sooner and I know Emily does too. I heard from the fam, they're having a delightful time, but of course they miss me terribly. What else? I'm pretty uncomfortable but the end is in sight.... Love to you all!

P.S. I'm posting pics but if ANYONE mocks me, they will have Emily to deal with...

Still Waiting
December 22,
Here I am, still waiting. The puppies are wiggling like mad, but the time has still not arrived. Emily has patiently taken my temperature. Because of all the new snow, I insist on going outside at least 3 times an hour and licking the snow and contemplating on how I got myself into this mess. I'm sure it will be fine when they arrive but at the moment, I am antsy! My temperature hasn't dropped which according to Steph, (the all knowing friend that comes to visit me often and it makes me SO happy) says I'm not ready to deliver yet. The wading pool remains comfortable, though I believe the cat lives there more than I do. Emily watches ESPN frequently and we snuggle when I feel like it. However, she is good to me and feeds me tortellini from time to time to bribe me to do ridiculous things, like roll over. Well, I think the time has come for me to continue gnawing on my bone. Love to you all.
